Delivery and Returns Policy


This page outlines the delivery and returns policy for Talking Mats products and services.

Delivery 

Talking Mats Taster and Talking Mats Lite are downloaded immediately to a mobile device. Talking Mats Pro packages are available immediately upon completion of purchase and receipt of log in details. For physical packages of Talking Mats Original and Additional Resources, we guarantee dispatch within 21 days, although often you will receive your order within a week. However, for International orders this may take longer.

Shipping rates

The current shipping rates for Talking Mats Original products and Additional Resources supplied by post are:

UK:  £7 + VAT (£8.40 inc VAT)

EUROPE: £12 + VAT (£14.40 inc VAT)

REST OF WORLD: £20 (no VAT)

As outlined within our standard Terms and Conditions, the following policies relate to Delivery, Rights to Cancel and Returns:

Your order will be fulfilled by the estimated delivery date set out in your Order Confirmation, unless there is an Event Outside Our Control (see Terms and Conditions). If we are unable to meet the estimated delivery date because of an Event Outside Our Control, we will contact you with a revised estimated delivery date.

Booking Training

When booking places on training you will receive more details about the specified training within 21 days.

Training Cancellation and Changes

Cancellations made between 2 and 4 weeks before the event will be charged 50% of the total booking fee. Any cancellations less than 2 weeks before the event will be charged the full amount.

Substitution of delegates is acceptable at any time. In the event of cancellation by the organisers, liability will be restricted to refund of the fees paid. It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of the organisers to make changes to speakers, content or timing of the programme.

Completion of delivery

This clause specifies that delivery will be complete when the goods are delivered to the address given, which allows for receipt by any member of the consumer’s household or the business customer’s workplace.

If no one is available at your address to take delivery, we will leave you a note that the Service have been returned to our premises, in which case, please contact us to rearrange delivery.

Failure to deliver 

The Service will be your responsibility from the completion of delivery. You own (or, subject to the End User Licence Agreement, enjoy a licence to use) the Service once we have received payment in full, including all applicable delivery charges.

Right to Cancel

In relation to purchases made by you of Services from this Website that are delivered to you by post (“Delivered Items”), you have the right, if you are a consumer and subject to the next paragraph of these Terms and Conditions, to cancel the contract with us for supply of such Delivered Items within seven days of the day after the date on which the relevant Delivered Items are delivered to you.

In order to cancel a purchase of Delivered Items you must notify us of such cancellation of such purchase within such seven-day period and we will then instruct you how to return the Delivered Items to us and we will arrange for a full refund of the sums you have paid in relation to such Delivered Items. However you shall pay the costs of return of the Delivered Items to us (which we may deduct from your refund) unless the Delivered Items are faulty or not as described. Please note that whilst you are in possession of any such Delivered Items you have a duty to take reasonable care of them.

To cancel a contract in accordance with your legal right to do so,  you must contact us in writing by sending an e-mail to info@talkingmats.com or by sending a pre-paid letter to Talking Mats Ltd., 2, Beta Centre, Stirling University Innovation Park, Stirling, FK9 4NF, Scotland. You may wish to keep a copy of your cancellation notification for your own records. If you send us your cancellation notice by e-mail or by post, then your cancellation is effective from the date you sent us the e-mail or posted the letter to us.

Your right to cancel under this section of these Terms and Conditions will cease to apply to any Delivery Items that you have unsealed as soon as you have unsealed them, where the Delivery Items in question comprise software, DVDs or CDs bearing a security seal.

In relation to purchases made by you of Services from this Website that are software or documents to be downloaded (“Downloaded Items”), if you are a consumer you have the right to cancel the contract with us for supply of such Downloaded Items without charge and without any reason before downloading the Downloaded Items. However, you will lose the right to cancel the contract once you begin to download the Downloaded Items. This does not affect your consumer rights for defective Downloaded Items.
